Better late than never...

I have got to keep up with this blog!! Walker turned 1 on 8-22. I can't believe that my baby boy is already a year old!! He is the life of the party in this house!!

We have been battling ear infections since his 1st Birthday. A total of 6 since the end of August.. He is scheduled to see the ENT next week. We are hoping for a solution :)

Andrew is 15 now and is wrapping up the marching season of band at school. He is also still active at our church, Oasis. He has started playing drums on Sunday mornings. I am so pleased that he is using his talents to praise Jesus! Makes this mom proud.

Adam is 14 now and has completed his last football season of Middle School. His banquet is tonight at the Senior Center here in town. He did very well and was noticed by the High School Head coach during one of the games and  was awarded Player of the Week by Coach Sims. He tried out for the middle school soccer team and made it! His position will be Goalie. After soccer is over, its on to baseball.

William will be 10 Monday and is in the midst of Pee Wee football. He is doing great! He is such a great big brother to Walker.

All the older boys have gotten braces placed. AHH $$$$$$$$.... I am hoping that it wasn't a dumb move to place them all in braces at the same time!! We shall see!!

Shawn and I are coming up on our 16th Wedding Anniversary. Life gets a little cray cray most everyday, but I couldn't imagine living it with someone else! Theres a funny story for another blog post that will be coming soon, so stay tuned..

Thats all for now..

Catching up...

Geez Louise!!
So to update everyone on our family... Well for those of you who don't know.. we have GROWN by ONE!

Walker Shannon Panni
08-22-12
4:15 pm
9lbs 4oz
21 1/2 inches

So needless to say we have one busy bunch of people!! Shawn is full time with the Pascagoula Police Department. I took a full time position with Singing River Health Systems in June of 2012. I work at Ocean Springs Hospital on the GI/GYN/PEDS floor. I absolutely love what I do and I am so glad that I followed my dreams :)
Andrew (2.5) , Adam (1.5)

Andrew is 14 years old now. Wow how time flies!!! Seems like yesterday he was Walkers age!! Andrew is in 8th grade. He is an AWESOME drummer. Currently he is involved in the school band and plays drums at our church on Wednesday nights for the youth band.

Adam is 13 years old. He is just a smidge taller than myself. Adam is in 7th grade. He is involved in IDEAS (gifted program) at school. He is involved in so many sports that I can't keep the straight half of the time! HAHA. Between Jujitsu, Football, Track and Baseball its enough to keep me on my toes!!

William. Ole William is a 3rd grader now. He is 9 yrs old. He is also involved in football and baseball. He loves school and is an A/B student. William has adjusted well to being a big brother!! Not a moment goes by that he doesn't kiss his little brother on the cheek and check to make sure he is ok ;) That is truly an answered prayer!!

The Panni Boys

I can't close this blog post without recommending one of the finest OB/GYN's in the Hattiesburg area. Now I had A LOT of people ask me "Why are you driving 1 1/2 hrs to see the doctor?", while pregnant with Walker. Now, let me add... that while I work with some pretty awesome physicians, nothing compares to being at ease while you are pregnant. Well if you are in the Hattiesburg or surrounding areas... let me just tell you about Dr. Jeff Hudson. I have been through 3 pregnancies with him as my MD. With each and everyone of them, I was always at ease. I couldn't have asked for more!! Now while Walker wasn't up to the challenge of waiting on Dr. Hudson for his delivery, I was always in good hands at Forrest General Hospital. More on Walkers exciting and FAST delivery on another date.

It is finished!!!

Wow!!! So I took my NCLEX (national nursing licensure exam) on January 5, 2012. That was by far the HARDEST test I have ever taken!!! I received my results on Saturday , January 7, 2012.. With a PASS!!! I was so excited!! So now the job hunt is on!! I can't wait to use my education!!

Shawn has started his new job as the nighttime jailer on the "A" shift with the Pascagoula Police Dept. I think he likes it alot. Not sure how to describe how I feel about it, other than this daytime quiteness so he can sleep is tiresome!!! haha..

We have some more exciting news, but are still unable to share it yet. Will share when we can!! Until then, pray that I can find a job, soon, and that it will be one that will require the least bit of change necessary in our schedules.  I like being home with the boys when Shawn is working!

Take care and until next time!

AHHHH ITS FINISHED!!

SO I finally finished nursing school!!! I am set to take the NCLEX on January 5, 2012.. There is more exciting news coming your way, but for now that is it!! We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We opted to stay home because of Shawns job. He was layed off from Huntington Ingalls Shipyard in October, just weeks after being hospitalized for a gallbladder removal. The Lord blessed him with a job a few short weeks later, yet its working nights, so thus the reason we stayed at home this year. He is set to start full time with the Pascagoula Police Dept, as a jailer.. he currently is a reserve patrol officer there now. He will be able to do both, which makes him happy!

I will update with our more exciting news when I can :) Until then, pray for us and all the changes that are coming our way!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2010

Happy New Year!! Yesterday around lunch, Shawn and Andrew headed off to deer camp... the rest of us followed behind shortly before dark... Stopping by the ole' fireworks stand in hopes of not spending a whole lot of dough... After the guys got out of the woods and I managed to make it past the gate at camp without getting my car stuck, we started our night... Dinner at the Benndale Catfish House (better known as "The Cafe") which is basically a hole in the wall, but it's nice that it's there so close. It makes going to camp a little less hetic! LOL Anyway, since Charlie, our black and tan daschund, had been in the doggie hospital for a few days, he had to tag along.. boy was that an experience! After dinner Shawn and the kids shot fireworks , while Charlie and I stayed in the trailer.. Big Daddy decided that being the redneck he is, it was time to shoot the gun on New Years eve... ugh!! I hated that part!!! Andrew and I headed home today for some R and R and Shawn and the younger two stayed at camp to hunt.
As it is the New Year, I have some sketchy goals.... nothing too major, but monumental tasks in my book... I will elaborate more on those next time, as its time for us to head to my aunts for the traditional dinner!

The following day , on Wednesday, I had a breast reduction surgery... a long awaited surgery to say the least...nevertheless I am glad that its over with and that there will be no more upper back pain! Shawn and the boys left on Friday to visit with his family and should return today. Sorry this is so short, but I have been resting today and can't seem to get my thoughts together!! Banana Spiders and a Wasp

Have you ever felt like a wasp in a spiders web? All entangled in webbing? So tight that you couldn't break free if you tried? Well that is the way that I have been feeling over the past few weeks. Between school, kids activities, and work, I just can't seem to get it all together. Sorta like a rat on a rat wheel.. Keep my family in your prayers as we are going through some very major changes. Thats as far as I am willing to go into this subject, but we will covet your prayers. Here are some pictures of a banana spider that I took with my camera phone today. We found a dead wasp lying around and threw it into the web. What happened next was a first for me. The spider proceeded to wrap webbing around it, and eat it. I have video, but was unable to upload it.

What a week

Well blogger buddies, last week was CRAZY! Shawn caught the H1N1 virus, the boys started football, and I started the RN program.. !!!! Shawn is still out of work, until Tuesday, but he is getting better and I am proud to say that NO ONE in our household caught the virus... I was one worn out puppy last week. I already have 2 tests behind me, and many more to go! I am excited about it though. I absolutely love it!

Birthdays and Great News!

Well July and August have been 2 really busy months!
Shawn celebrated his 39th birthday!! I was accepted into the Nursing Program (*whew*) and will start classes on the 21st of August!!! I am super excited to finally get on with my degree!
August has been pretty busy also. I celebrated my 29th birthday this month and the boys have officially started school!! All my babies are in school now!! I am glad that everyone got the teachers that I had asked for. Not all were excited at first but I imagine they will be later. William's first full day was today and he didn't cry or anything. We found his classroom and I helped him with his things and off he went to eat breakfast, waving to me while he was getting into line! I was laughing because all of my boys were excited to go to school! Andrew as I recall didn't even want me to walk in with him on his first day! Adam was a bit nervous but did ok on his first. I will update later on how everything went on this first day for William!

NOT ME MONDAY

Are you feeling guilty for not changing your children's bedsheets for weeks on end? Feel trashy taking your trash to the curb with no bra on? Overcome with embarrassment after your child wets his pants in public? We'll don't be! Not Me! Monday was born out of my desire to admit some of my imperfections and reveal a few moments I'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!
1-I did not sit around on Tuesday and watch the entire Michael Jackson memorial, not me.
2-I did not skip a few things at work so that I could enjoy a swimming party
3-I did not let my kids skip their baths a few times this week
4-I did not enjoy margaritas with big daddy on Friday night at the High Cotton Grille.
5-I did not secretly wish for rain so i could stay inside all day.
6-I did not send the kids to bed early on saturday night so big daddy and I could have some QT.
7-I most certainly did not already buy Williams school clothes, because i am organized like that.
8-I did not oversleep today and make the kids late for church activities.
9-I would have never ever left the mess from dinner last night all over the kitchen in order to snuggle with big daddy..not me
10-I didn't run that yellow light today, never, not me!
