Well the boys got a Wii game system for christmas. They couldn't help but invite my moma over to play. For years upon years she has played various video games, such as the Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Xbox, etc while all the time moving the controller in the way she was going. EX- If her car was driving to the left, her whole body and controller moved to the left. So this new Wii System was PERFECT for her!! Although she didn't have any idea that I was recording, she had a good time playing Adam in boxing! Here is the video! Hope you enjoy and have a great laugh!

Laughter
I am sitting here in the living room writing this. In the background I hear laughter. I was just about to get onto Adam and William , because it sounds like my house is being torn down, and I hear the most sweetest sound ever, LAUGHING They are in their bedroom playing and LAUGHING! I know this sounds crazy, but here at our house, their seems to be more fighting, etc, than laughing. Shawn has taken Andrew to the hunting camp and adam and william are here with me, (I am studying for the all dreaded Anatomy and Phisiology test tommorow). I LOVE to hear LAUGHTER! I had to document this, because with such busy schedules, I tend to forget the little things!

William is 5
These 5 years have FLOWN by!!! A former church member told me when Andrew was born, to cherish every minute because time flys! Well she was right!! I cannot believe that my baby will be 5 on Nov 4! It only seemed like yesterday he was born!!! I guess Katrina had a helping hand in erasing most of 2 years! I hope the next 5 years are as easy as these past 5 have been. William is by far been the easiest to raise. I think that is due to patience and getting OLDER!!
Here are Williams top 5
1-He absolutely loves sucking his thumb! (We are going to the orthodontist to take care of this). In his ultrasound he was sucking away, and he hasn't stopped since. Even hot sauce doesn't bother him!
2-He would much rather go to the hunting camp (or anywhere his daddy is) than go to school (even if that means missing a party or something)
3-VERY PICKY EATER!!!! Give him cereal for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and whatever we aren't having for dinner!!!!
4-Loves going to Samuels house (i think because he likes freaking his mimi out when he jumps from the top of the play house that is 12ft in the air!!)
5-Loves to learn! Give that boy a dry erase board and marker and he goes to town!!!
HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY WILLIAM!!!!!!

3-Likes school a lot
4-Likes to go hunting, but doesn't want to shoot a gun yet!!

6-A great football player
7-Accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior this year!!!
8-Very competive
9-Loves broccoli
10-Wants to be JUST like his daddy!

A not so friendly friend in my laundry room!
Imagine this.... your laundry room is detached from your house.... the door somehow stays open most all the time... You go to the laundry room to switch the load of clothes and you hear something.... you know that that means there is a RAT in there. It is overhead..... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH So you scream and run inside....... your lovely husband says "huh???" you say, there is a rat in the laundry room.... ok, he says... what are you kidding me??? get out there. o, you will be alright , he states. Um,,,, I see IT!!!!!!!!!!!! So your husband gets up, ever so slowly, goes and gets your older sons BB gun and proceeds outside. He aims @ what you guess is air, because you cannot see it, and the BB pings and hits him in the head!!!! Then you see the rat! Down the wall it went! So your smart husband puts a sticky trap (made for mice) in the line of where the friend has been seen running in hopes of it sticking to it so he may shoot it! The friend is smarter than that and leaves (we never saw it again last night!). Meanwhile your clothes never make it out of the wash. As I type this my laundry has yet to be switch and probably smell really good by now!

Blessings
I have been convicted lately of taking things for granted. My prayers are that the Lord will open my eyes to all that I do have and not what I don't have. Life can get pretty hectic and with being in school and all, I have become overwhelmed in all that is going on and have become complacent in my walk with the Lord. I am going to make that my focus this week!

IKEY!!
In the famous (well almost) words of the late Crocodile Hunter, IKEY!!!! Can you believe that one hurricane could stretch its damage from the southern part of the U.S. to the northern part? My dad received an email from the group in Michigan, who did work on their house, he said that a 30 block radius had flood because of the Kalamazoo River overflowing, because of ole ike. Also, our church is collecting items (non-perishables) that NOAA will be picking up. These need to be to the church,no later than noon MONDAY! Come on people, The NATION helped us when Katrina hit, Can we GIVE BACK!!! Also pray for Kalamazoo, MI, the area that was flooded was the low income part, we need to pray about getting them help too. Tootles!

Update on Meghan
I recieved an email tonight saying that Meghan had moved all of her toes. She should start PT in the morning. God is SO GOOD! They don't know what caused her stroke yet. There were no blood clots, or anyerisms (or however you spell it!). Just thankful she is getting better,

Meghan Aycock
Please pray for my 2nd cousin, Meghan. She just turned 21 a few days ago, and she has had a stroke. All i know is that her left side is numb. Please be in prayer that God heals her body and brings her through this. Also pray for her parents, Steve and Charlene and her older brother Michael.
Also needing your prayers is Shawns twin sister, Shannon. She has to have an operation somewhere in her neck area. I am not sure what for or when. I will keep updates posted

Hurricane Pictures
I am working on taking some pictures to post. I will have them up in an hour or so. Shawn is going to adventure out (like an idiot) and take some. Last night he was nervous, looks like a kid wanting to ride his bike in the rain.

A wonderful husband
I just want to brag on my WONDERFUL husband a little. There are some things that you learn about a person over 10 years of marriage.
1-He REALLY does have our best interest at heart (even though in the beginning i didn't think so)
2- He will work really hard on something if I ask him to.
3- He is like a 12 year old on birthdays, christmas and just about any holiday!
4- He isn't content with the job he has, he would like to move up the ladder (and is working everday to do so)
5- Our boys ADORE him!
6- Little things make him glow.

10 years
Has it really been 10 years since I graduated high school??? Saturday night was my reunion and I have to say... so many people have changed. I thought surely that things were probably still the same, but I was quite surprised!

Diabetes
Please keep Shawn in your prayers. He went to the doctor last week and they told him that his sugar was elevated. He went again today and got the diagnosis. He has type 2. Shawn is very upset about this. I hope that we will be able to control it with diet and exercise. Please keep him in your prayers.

A Quiet Day
Today this kids went with my parents to the islands. Shawn and I enjoyed a much needed day of QUIET!! We went grocery shopping and enjoyed lunch alone! What a first! This evening the girls (my mom, my sisters and I) went to Olive Garden for Ashleys birthday, which was in May, but since she was in Germany we held off. We had a very good time, but I promise you the staff probably thought we'd had 1 too many! Although when we all get together we act like that anyway! I promise you none of had anything to drink!!

Our Family
Please keep our family in your prayers this summer. So much is going on and I want to enjoy the kids! Andrew has started guitar lessons, along with Andrew and Adam attending our church events on Tuesdays. I have started college, finally. I chose the summer (what was I thinking!) to start, so that I may take a few required courses back to back in the fall and spring. I am what you would say "Digging for those A's"! My older sister, Ashley, is in the states for the summer, and we are enjoying her company. Keep her in your prayers as she looks for a house to purchase. Her family will be back home permantley next summer!!!
